Cougar Blue

It's never too early to get ready for the upcoming football season!

Connor thought it would be funny to wear his hat for the pic... he says it's white so it still fits with the Cougar's colors. We tried to talk him out of it but he can be pretty persuasive when he wants to.

Here he is practicing his intimidation face

What... you wanna piece of me?!?

Zoo Time

Today we had some sunshine and thought it would be a good time to visit the zoo. After a few wrong turns and over 30 miles later we finally made it there.

Connor and his buddy Rock have a close call with a man-eating emu. You can tell by the looks on their faces that they are absolutely terrified.

Mom and dad took a daring ride on a petrified rhinoceros. Perhaps they forgot to bring him back in before winter came.

Story Time

Wanna hear a funny story?? OK, here it goes... This morning I was hangin out with little **Con man and the Wifey and I decided I'm gonna be a good daddy and I'll change **Connor's diaper. I knew he needed a change and we also had someone coming over so I was gonna try and be quick and get 'er done before they arrived. Off comes the diaper and it was pretty messy so I thought all the damage was done. Boy was I wrong!!! Soon as I start wipin' little Connor cracks a smile and shoots (literally, not just figuratively) some #2 all over me and the carpet. This little guy got some distance, we found...um we'll call it *evidence... up to 4 feet away. So I immediately call for backup cuz now we've got a huge mess and he also starts peeing all over himself and the carpet (cuz that's what little boys do). We break out the biohazard kit and start cleanin and I run upstairs to get changed. I take all the dirty "evidence" and I'm puttin it in the washer right when our guest arrives. I hurry back upstairs and everything is clean and returned to situation normal. Whew!

But of course, that's not the end, there's more. Our guest leaves and I decide to switch the laundry over, no big deal right? The clothes are in the dryer and Jax has to leave and she says, "What's that noise?" refering to the large clanking sound comin from downstairs. To which I reply, "Oh it's probably nothin, I'll check on it in a minute". Jax leaves and I head downstairs to do some detective work on the noise and with my superior powers of deduction I soon realize that my cell phone is the cause. Apparently, in my hurry I forgot my cell phone was in the side pants pocket. So now I have a squeaky clean cell phone that smells like a mountain spring and I've also learned what the inside of a cell phone looks like cuz I had to open it up to try and get the moisture out (it's actually kinda cool inside there, I just hope I can get it back together in one piece). Now, the moral of the story is Don't try to be helpful it will only get you into trouble. THE END.

Bad Hair Day

Apparently mom thinks it's cool for boys to wear pink. I'm not sure I agree.

Connor was our little Leap Year suprise

It was the night of Feb 28th. Aaron was playing Halo with the boys on his Palmer break, and Jacque was busy scooping and eating icecream at her Maggie Moo's job (her dream career). She phoned Aaron, since she thought her water had broken, and had to literally pry him away from his all-night Halo adventure with the other Palmer boys who were on winter break. We arrived at the hospital at 9:30 pm and 22 hours later, Connor James Young was born. He was quite the suprise, making his entrance into the world a month earlier than planned. Mom and Dad are doing very well, and quite excited for their new little man.
