King of the Beach

Going on vacation is always fun but we wondered about Little Man. Would his experience be the same as ours?? Will he relish the sun and lay around all day without a worry in the world? Will he be able to sip a pina colada in a frosty glass with a little umbrella in it? Perhaps the true question here is this- Is the art of vacationing an inborn ability or is it an acquired skill? The only way to answer this age old question was thrust Connor right into his vacation and see how he performed. Let's take a look..." Sun block... check. Beach Ball... check. Filtered water... check. Sun glasses... check. The only thing missing is a lady friend."
"... Einstein's theory of relativity (E=mc2) raises some profound ideas that only the most astute observer can appreciate..."
"I'm too sexy for my shirt, too sexy for my shirt.... so SEXY it hurts....."
16 pounds in the right hand AND 16 pounds in the left hand. Which one should I use???
In a resounding defeat, Connor the Tiger Tamer retains his Miniature Chubby Weight belt in the first round with a TKO!!! (and the crowd goes wild!)

Just For You, Steph

A comment was recently posted by an individual who will remain annonymous (but her name rhymes with Rephanie Yundel) about Connor not smiling enough. We would like to issue a reply by pointing out that the Little Man chooses his poses very carefully. It is his wish to remain stoic and strong, like a Rock, in these troubled and turbulent times. He is also keenly aware of the messages that photos of his lifestyle will present to the adoring public. Therefore, he chooses to present himself in a way that will not compromise any current and/or future pursuits he wishes to explore. But........ because there is such a demand and an uproar the Little Guy has allowed this photograph to be released into general circulation.

This photo represents the elation and the joy from Little Man completing his Navy Seal training. After two tours of duty (one in Charleston and the other in Myrtle beach) he has fulfilled his duty to his country. He intends to further his military education and skills by researching ancient fighting styles from the Middle Ages. Plus, it lets him save the Damsel in Distress and hit on older women.

Summer Training

People always told us that having a baby immediately makes life that much busier, and now we totally agree. But we had no clue it would this busy... Little Man was getting tired of the midwest so he "persuaded" us to go visit an old college buddy of his in Lexington, Kentucky. We had a nice enjoyable stay in Kentucky visiting with Maddox, even if it was only for a short time. Then we had to keep moving on 'cause Connor had mandatory Navy Seal training in Charlotte, North Carolina to attend. We didn't know they let people join so young, but sure enough in Charlotte he met up with a retired Navy officer. Who knows how the Little Guy got his contacts, but just like they say, it's not what you know but who you know that counts. Here he is performing some field ops in an unidentified combat zone. (And in case you are wondering, yes the shorts and the hat are official Navy Seal issue)

Hulkster

Little man says he's tired of people making fun of his size and he wants to prove that it's all muscle thanks to his new workout routine. To monitor his progress he stepped on a scale yesterday and weighed in at a hulking 15.5 pounds. We think he might be looking into a different career now as well. Some movie producer guy said that Connor's movie starts in theatres on Friday. We weren't really sure what he was talking about, but keep your eyes open. Whatever you do, just don't make him angry!!

Secret Agent Man

Connor is over 3 months old now and we told him that as a member of the family we expect him to contribute his share. Apparently, he really took our conversation to heart. This past week he offered to pay rent. I was a little skeptical myself, but when his check cleared I was convinced. We're not sure where he's getting his money from but we do have some suspicions. Here's what we've picked up on:

#1 He keeps humming the tune to the song "Secret-Agent Man" around the house

#2 Little Man seems to be really tired lately. I heard rumors he spent a week in Alaska so that's why he's so tired, but when I asked him he said that he could "neither confirm nor deny the rumor".

#3 He's been spotted performing guerilla training with a secret weapons dealer in the jungle.

#4 A photograph surfaced of actual physical damage that Little Man caused during his jungle training. If you let him go hungry this could be you!!!

Home Security System

Life can be tough, especially nowadays with the hurtin economy and all. But instead of getting a home security system to protect our loot, daddy bought me a pair of tough man glasses. We just hang out on the back porch and stare down any potential perpetrators. It's all about sending the right message. You might be askin' yourself "Does it actually work?" It certainly does, especially when you've got guns like these...

Makin' Progress

We noticed recently that Connor is starting to develop some bad health habits. Mostly, all he does is lay or sit down all day long. He never gets his 30 minutes of aerobic exercise on most days of the week as recommended by ACSM. Also, his diet is so routine that he almost never gets his 5 servings a day of fruits & veggies. He keeps drinking out of the milk carton too! (sorry, I couldn't resist on that one)
Therefore, we've made some changes to his daily routine to help get him back on track. I Googled baby plyometrics and found some pretty good exercises to do. It's a little soon to tell, but I think he's really enjoying it and starting to make some progress.

Like Father Like Son

For the past 11 weeks we have been trying to figure out who Little Man looks more like- his mom or his dad. It hasn't been an easy task, for several reasons. There aren't a lot of surviving photographs of mom or dad when they were really young so there hasn't been much to compare to. Also, Connor somehow came out with a better tan than his mom and dad put together. Where he got his color from, we have no idea. But, alas, we finally had a breakthrough this past week. After taking picture after picture, we finally snapped one in just the right way that enabled us to make a definative decision. So, have a look and decide for yourself.

The Aarons' Bodacious Boomin' B-Day BBQ Blowout Bash

On Friday evening we had the combined Birthday party for Connor's dad and Rock's dad. It was a fun event with lots of grillin', a sweet cake, a football pinata and to top it all off- a game of kickball.

Check out the football cake with Connor and Rock facing off against each other.
Just chillin and grillin.
Everyone got a chance to take a few swings

Check out that form, looks like a home run to me (or should it be a touchdown?!)
Candy!!!!The Birthday boys/ kickball champions. Yeah... we've got Sponge Bob on our ball!

Workout Buddies

They say you can never start too early... but between their 5am, noon and 5pm weight training sessions and 10am & 3pm cardio workouts, Creatine and Myoplex protein shakes (mixed with milk of course), and meals every 3 hours I think we just might be OK for the upcoming football season.

Rogaine with Minoxidil

We have started to notice that the Little Guy is looking a little thin up top, so being the over-zealous parents that we are, we immediately consulted with our family doctor. He recommended we put Connor on Rogaine without any delay, so we consulted with Little Man and he agreed. We were kinda skeptical so we took some before and after pics just to be sure it worked. And boy did it work! See for yourself...

Silly Faces

Check Out My New Ride

I've been bugging mom and dad for a little while now to get me a set of wheels. I know I'm only 10 weeks old but I like to think that I'm a mature 10 week old. Anyways, they finally broke down and bought me a ride. It's pretty sweet, it does 0-60 feet in 7.2 seconds, has a full racing seat harness, suspension and racing slicks. I wanted 22 inch chrome wheels and a sweet stereo system with a subwoofer, but mom and dad just laughed when I brought it up so I might have to wait on that a little bit.

But the best part is that it's a two seater, so now I can go cruise the trail and pick me up some ladies. This is me scanning the horizon and keeping a lookout for any potentials. Picture me Rollin!!
Just to be nice, I let mom and dad come along with me for the maiden voyage. I'm worried that they're gonna want to come along with me everytime and cramp my style. So I have to figure out a way to gently let them know, without causing a big scene. Until then I guess I'll just have to sneak out a night while they're sleeping and go joy ridin'

Hat Delight

"It's not a birthday party without the hats!" is what Connor tell us.

Future Truckers of America

We try to be responsible parents and to encourage the little guy to explore his options in life. There's just so much out there to see and to do. The last thing we want to do is to stifle his creativity or not allow him to express himself. Having said that, this is not where we expected Connor to go with it.

Connor's First Crush

When you wish upon a star...
(apparently he likes older women)

Fight the System

He may not be a teenager yet, but I'm pretty sure he's seen one on TV. It must have appealed to him because now he seems to be asserting himself more and more in his battle for independence. In fact, just this morning we had an episode when he refused his milk until it comes in chocolate or strawberry flavors. This is him chanting "Give me liberty or give me chocolate!!" (I think he gets it from his mother)

Quality Time Together

Even though he has a pretty demanding schedule, the Little Guy makes a point to have some quality one on one time with mommy and daddy everyday

Sometimes he even reads his own bedtime stories to himself...

...but he only has about a one book limit

Who needs milk when you've got Sunkist?!?!

Jurassic Park Revisited

We were flippin through the channels the other night and Little Man saw that Jurassic Park III was on and he wanted to create his own little Jurassic Park to make the movie experience that much more real.

Grandma Time

Connor had a fun time with Grandma Peterson this past week. She spoiled him and loved him and hugged him just like grandmas are s'posed to do.Here the Little Man is showing off what grandma bought him for Christmas AND working on his latest pose. He likes to call this one "Sunrise in Tibet". He is still working on "Blue Steel" but thinks it will come together any day now. We got the chance to take grandma down to Nauvoo and let her see the temple. She came to Nauvoo over 30 years ago so it was a nice treat for her. You can tell that she's really enjoying our wonderful Midwestern weather - it's practically the same as San Diego weather.
This is what we like to call "The Eject Button". Press it and see what happens...
